Insight & Imagination

I am so honored to have been invited to participate in a show at the Hatfield Library at Willamette University.  The show is Insight & Imagination and is curated by the artist Dayna Collins.  It features some amazing local artists with some of their smaller pieces (as you will see it is in a display case with only so much room) and we were also asked to bring a few tools to include in the display, giving the viewer a peak into how the pieces were created or imagined.

Here are a few photos I took of the show, but keep in mind I am photographing a display case with glass and there were students studying nearby so I was very conscious of the clicking noise my camera made for every photo (a digital camera, but it does make that clicking noise).  In other words, not the best quality photos...

The exhibit runs to October 28th and is on the second floor of the library.  Just nearby is another wonderful exhibit featuring documents from the Pacific Northwest Artist's Archive.  Really interesting documents from, you guessed it, Pacific Northwest artists.  Be sure to check it out if you can!  Photos, papers, ephemera, and more from some really important and inspiring artists span a long wall and thoughtfully curated and to think there is much more in the archives than what is on display.  I am so glad that such an archive exists and protects such important information.
