Some of the work in my show at Compass Gallery this month is inspired by flowers or, more accurately, decaying flowers.  When I began the work, I was finding inspiration both inside the house, where I had several bouquets withering away, and outside.  There I found so much beauty in the browning hydrangeas, the red rose hips, and the seed pods of the peonies.
