Painting My Daughter

My poor daughter, with all the faces I paint people often say to her, "There must be a lot of paintings of you at home."  In fact, no there aren't.  I've been so busy all this time painting to put things in my shop, in galleries, and as commissions that frankly I have done very few personal paintings.  I decided it was about time she should have one (Acrylic, 9 x 12 inches).

Shop Update

"Storm Brewing"
I'm very pleased to announce a shop update.  The painting above, "Storm Brewing" 16 x 20 inches, and the one below, "Midafternoon at Barlow Hill" 12 x 12 inches, are now available in my shop.

"Midafternoon at Barlow Hill"

And I'm very excited to offer prints of both paintings plus the two following paintings:

"Elsie" was sold soon after it was finished, and I was very happy that her owners let me borrow her to make prints.  "Elsie", "Lois", and "Midafternoon at Barlow Hill" are now available as limited edition prints and are each 12 x 12 inches (image size is about 11 x 11 inches).  "Storm Brewing" is also a limited edition print and is 18 x 22 inches (image size is about 16 x 20 inches).  I am also considering another edition at a smaller size in the near future for "Storm Brewing", perhaps 8 x 10 inches.  I plan to make more prints available using future paintings, so more to come!  I don't currently make the prints myself, so I will have to slowly add these to my shop as I am able.

Finally, these two little portraits are now available in my shop as well:

"Ella Bell"
Currently, I am working on a new grid paintings (a lady from the 1940's) and a new one of the lady in the top painting ("Storm Brewing") also set, coincidentally, in the outdoors with a stormy sky.  Didn't even realize that stormy sky connection until just now...  Also, several mixed media pieces in the works.   My studio at Mission Mill is a mess of papers while I put those together.  More on those soon.
