In the Studio and a New Gallery

Studio Window

It has been a couple of weeks since my last post (not the longest I've gone by a long shot, but I am trying…), so I thought I'd just post a brief update about what I have been doing in the studio.

I am working on a large commission which I am finishing in oil, so in between coats I'm painting several small pieces including a few oil paintings I started, embarrassingly, last summer and never got back to finishing.  Silly, as they were down to the final touches.   I have been working so much in acrylic lately, I just hadn't gotten back to them.

Also in progress is the Hobbit project and I hope to have an update here soon.

I have a new joint project I am working on with a favorite artist and friend of mine.  We are working together, a piece or two at a time, for an indefinite period, responding to each other's work, ideas, and whatever else inspires us.  It is a really exciting project and I'm so happy to be doing it.  Not sure when I will share more about it here, but in time I definitely will.

And finally, I wanted to share a new gallery with you that a few of my pieces are now with.  It is Fifty Artists and they have a wonderful curated collection.  Check it out when you have moment.  You will find great diversity and talent.
